“There was a time I was volunteering, applying for jobs, running my business, showing up for people, and still trying to stay active online. Everyone said I was ‘doing well,’ but inside I felt scattered and stretched thin. I realized I was operating on autopilot. It wasn’t a side hustle anymore — it was silent burnout. That experience made me more intentional about rest, routines, and learning to say ‘no’ sometimes.”

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with working hard or chasing multiple goals. In fact, it’s wise to explore additional income streams. But when your “side hustle” begins to steal your sleep, blur your boundaries, drain your joy, and blur the line between rest and productivity — then what you have isn’t just a hustle anymore, it might be burnout in disguise.

So, how do you find balance?

1. Know why you’re hustling.

Don’t just jump into trends. Ask yourself: Is this hustle tied to a goal or just pressure to keep up? A clear “why” helps you avoid running in circles.

2. Rest is not laziness.

Productivity without rest is a trap. Your body and mind need time to breathe. If you collapse every weekend or dread every Monday, your body may already be sending signals.

3. Set boundaries.

You don’t need to say “yes” to every gig or project. Learn to pause, evaluate, and even say no without guilt. More doesn’t always mean better.

4. Start small.

You don’t have to do everything at once. That business idea? Start with one product. That course? Learn one module at a time. It’s okay to grow gradually.

5. Celebrate progress, not just profit.

Not every hustle pays off immediately. Celebrate the learning, the consistency, the courage to even begin.

At the end of the day, the goal is not to work endlessly — it’s to build a life that has meaning, peace, and freedom.

I had a conversation with a young professional recently. He had just started working at a research institute. What struck me about him was his energy. He was passionate, eager, always looking forward to the next day. Curious, I asked what keeps him so alive and fulfilled.

His answer amazed me.

He told me that before he got the job, he had already started working on a personal project he had long envisioned. He began small — writing, recording, sharing. That project eventually became his brand. And guess what? His blog posts and podcasts started reaching young people struggling with drug addiction. Some found healing— just by engaging with his contents.

Now imagine if he had waited for the perfect time. Or if he had told himself he wasn’t qualified yet.

What would have happened to those young minds?

So here’s the question for you:

• What’s that idea you keep postponing?

• Who could be healed, inspired, or transformed if you just started?

Let’s break some lies:

1. I need more time.

2. I need the perfect plan.

3. I’m too young… or too old.

None of that is true.

I recently planted some crops—maize and Jute plant (ewedu)—and noticed that one of the plants emerged from the ground later than the others, breaking through the soil as it sprouted. Despite the delay, it pushed through with strength, symbolizing resilience and growth despite challenges.

However, motivation isn’t just about feeling inspired—it’s about taking action despite difficulties. Here are some practical ways to stay motivated when life feels tough.

1. Revisit Your ‘Why’

One of the most powerful motivators is your purpose. Why did you start this journey in the first place? Whether it’s your career, education, business, or personal growth, remind yourself of your goals. Write them down, visualize them, and reconnect with the deeper reason behind your efforts.

I recently graduated from ITRAIN AFRICA, and it was a tremendously rewarding experience. One of my first projects was focused on exploring various Google tools, which I called Project 101. How are doing today?

I want to gist you of my discussion with a Nigerian masters student in Poland.

As a graduate of Agriculture from the University of Ilorin. I am passionate about leveraging technology and expertise to drive sustainable solutions in agriculture and marketing. So, I went on to have a discussion with him. We got to a point, I asked him to tell me the differences between Nigeria agricultural sector and Poland agricultural sector and solutions to the problem facing our agricultural sector in Nigeria. These are his answers 👇

1) As a Nigerian studying abroad, I've observed some best practices that could significantly enhance Nigeria's agricultural sector. For example, in Poland, advanced technologies like precision agriculture (drones, sensors, and data analytics) are extensively used to optimize crop management. If adopted in Nigeria, these innovations could greatly improve farm productivity and resource use. Moreover, Environmental protection is prioritized here through efficient water use, crop rotation, and organic farming, which could help Nigeria combat soil degradation and drought issues.

2) The Nigerian government can incentivize young people to pursue careers in agriculture and agribusiness by Offering grants, low-interest loans, and startup capital for young agricultural entrepreneurs, scholarships, specialized training programs or internships, and mentorship in modern agriculture techniques.

These incentives would help the sector increase productivity, foster innovation, and promote long-term sustainability by drawing youthful energy into modernizing agricultural practices, thus ensuring food security and economic growth.

3) Given my background in Agricultural Economics (Bachelor’s) and Environmental Protection Engineering (Master’s), I see several promising avenues for partnerships that could benefit Nigeria’s agricultural sector:

a. Research Collaborations: Nigerian agricultural organizations could collaborate with international research institutions to develop climate-resilient crops and sustainable farming techniques.

b. Transfer: Partnerships with institutions in countries excelling in precision agriculture could bring innovations like drones, sensors, and irrigation technologies to Nigeria

c. Capacity Building: Joint ventures between Nigerian universities and international agricultural colleges could provide scholarships, exchange programs, and professional training, modernizing the workforce.

4) Sustainable agricultural practices play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term viability of Nigeria’s agricultural sector by conserving natural resources, improving soil health, and enhancing food security. These practices help mitigate the impact of climate change, which is especially important in drought-prone regions.

In my Master’s research, I focused on “sustainable agriculture in Southwestern Nigeria, identifying challenges and opportunities for adoption” To promote adoption on a broader scale;

i. The government could offer incentives (subsidies, grants).

ii. Education and extension services could provide farmers with the knowledge and tools.

iii. Public-private partnerships could drive innovation and resource-sharing.

5) I envision Nigeria’s agricultural sector evolving toward sustainability and resilience in response to climate change and global market trends. As environmental conditions shift, it will be crucial for Nigeria to _adopt climate-smart agriculture and sustainable practices_ that optimize resources and mitigate environmental impacts.

To adapt, Nigeria should:

i. Invest in precision agriculture technologies.

ii. Promote crop diversification to enhance food security.

iii. Strengthen global/International partnerships for market access and innovations.

iv. Implement risk management systems for farmers, like crop insurance, to buffer against climate risks.

6) Well, in my opinion, I will say that the transformation of Nigeria’s agricultural sector into a modern, efficient, and globally competitive industry is influenced by several critical factors such as; Infrastructure Deficiency, Limited Access to Finance, and Climate Change.

Practical Steps to overcome these challenges include; Investing in Rural Infrastructure, Access to Finance, and Promoting climate-resilient crops and smart agriculture techniques.

My reasons of asking him this questions is because I believe that Nigeria has the potential to transform its agricultural sector by adopting modern technologies, sustainable practices, and fostering partnerships with international institutions. By implementing the suggested solutions and leveraging the expertise of young agricultural entrepreneurs, Nigeria can achieve long-term food security, economic growth, and environmental sustainability in its agricultural sector.

From history and even now, we can see deliberate attempts by the devil to disrupt the identity of the female gender. This enmity is not merely a result of gender differences but rather a calculated effort to undermine the strength and influence that women possess.

The devil hates the females with passion. He sought to destroy her and everything that made her a beautiful creation of God. He especially targets every stage of her life from childhood to teenage and adulthood. The devil's animosity towards women stems from a multitude of reasons, each reflecting the pivotal role that women play in the grand tapestry of creation. Here are five key reasons why Satan hates women.

1. The Mother of Humanity:

Women hold the divine power to bring forth life, to nurture Godly seeds within their wombs, and to shape the future of humanity. The devil recognizes the threat posed by the potential of women to birth forces that could challenge his dominion. By attacking Eve in the Garden of Eden,(Genesis 3 v 1-7) he sought to corrupt the foundation of creation and sow seeds of discord.

2. The Birth of the Savior:

The pivotal moment in history, the birth of Jesus Christ, was made possible through a woman - the Virgin Mary. This event struck a severe blow to the devil's plans, as the prophecies foretold in (Genesis 3:14-15) that the seed of the woman would ultimately crush the serpent's head. The seed is Jesus Christ, the son of the living God along with everyone who now put their trust in him. Every human walking this earth is a potential bruiser of satan.

3. Molders of Destiny:

Women possess the unique gift of molding and shaping the lives of those around them. Their influence extends beyond mere physical birth, as they impart values, wisdom, and guidance to future generations. The devil recognizes that a woman who embraces her role as a molder of destiny can instill righteousness and Godly principles that threaten his hold on human hearts.

4. Vision Carriers:

Women are carriers of vision, wisdom, and intuition. When aligned with God's purpose, they become powerful vessels through which divine inspiration flows. Their visions have the potential to transcend time and space, ushering in transformation and renewal in a world gripped by evil. The devil trembles at the thought of women who boldly embrace their calling as visionaries and change-makers.

5. Generational Influence:

The impact of a woman's life reverberates through generations, shaping the beliefs, actions, and destinies of her descendants. The devil understands that when a woman walks in righteousness, her influence extends far beyond her immediate sphere, touching lives and hearts for years to come. By targeting women, evil seeks to disrupt this chain of influence and prevent the propagation of God's truth and love.

In conclusion, the hatred of the devil towards women is not a random act of malice but a strategic assault on the very essence of God's design for creation. Women embody strength, resilience, and grace that pose a formidable challenge to the kingdom of darkness. It is imperative for women to recognize their intrinsic value, embrace their divine purpose, and stand resolute against the forces that seek to diminish their worth. As women rise up in faith and love, they unleash a power that evil can never conquer.
